Should a photograph be included in a CV?
There has always been some debate about whether it is necessary to have your photograph in your CV, but at the end of the day, it is all just a matter of choice. Dependant upon the country you live in or are applying for jobs, it can be beneficial to include a photograph of yourself so that a potential employer can see that you are presentable and smart, but this can also mean that you are not considered for a position due to discrimination. If you are going to include a photograph in your CV, don't put in one of your holiday snaps, or a photograph of you and friends or family. It should be passport style and professional.
Why can’t I just provide the names of my previous employers and job titles?
It may be the easier option to just list your previous employers and job titles, but this doesn’t provide enough information to Recruiters or Hiring Managers. They need to know your skills and what your duties were in your previous positions so that they can see if your skills are transferable to their role and how much experience you may have. It may be that you are applying for a job vacancy that you do not have the relevant experience for, but this is why you need to detail what you currently do or previously did so that people may see if there are any similarities. Remember though, you are not writing War and Peace, keep it to two pages!

Why having strong questions in your interview is important.
Having strong questions to ask your interviewer is almost as important as turning up for an interview! The person interviewing you takes their time to tell you all about the company, the job you have applied for and ask you questions around your work experience, so imagine how they feel, when as the end of the interview they ask if you have any questions for them and the answer is no! they think "has this person been listening?" or "Are they even interested in the job they applied for?" If you want to be considered for the position, make sure you have a minimum of five questions you can ask and the more the better! Of course, your questions may get answered throughout the course of the interview before you have a chance to ask them, so try and think of new ones from the information the interviewer has given you.
